Our humble roots were planted in 1974 by David P. Wilson himself. Since our inception, David P. Wilson Company, Inc has revolved around putting the customer first and providing industry leading knowledge to Engineers, OEM’s, and end users alike. To this day we remain a family business with two generations actively working together.

Over the past 50 years David P. Wilson Company, Inc. has grown much like a tree. Our family roots honor the foundation to which all was built from. We have grown in size and capability from a one-person business to seven talented individuals. All of whom bring unique prospective and skills which stemming beyond the industries and products we sell.
We have expanded our geographic reach by strategically placing representatives throughout the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. This was done to ensure your needs, as a customer, are met. While we love the capabilities technology has provided, we also understand the value, and often necessity, to meet face to face. Having a representative close by makes reviewing an application possible for projects of all sizes.

Meet Our Team
John Wilson | Owner
John graduated from University of Puget Sound class of 1980, with a double Major in Economics and Marketing. Before working at David P. Wilson Company, John refined his Sales skills at Genie Industries (now Terex) promoting Ariel Work Platforms. In 1983, John Joined the family business, working under our founder, David Wilson, John learned everything that has allowed him to successfully carry on the business tradition today.
In 1989 John became owner and with a vision of growth, hired and trained professionals to serve Oregon, Vancouver, BC, and Idaho. As a hands-on owner, John continues to provide personal customer service, and truthfully strives to be every customer’s “Trusted Advisor”.
When John is not working, he can be found traveling the globe, enjoying cultures firsthand. He and his wife have two exceptionally talented sons. Plus, in May of 2017, John became a first-time grandparent. John has a passion for basketball and obsession with golf. You can find John on the course all months of the year, rain, shine, and even the occasional snow flurry.
Derek Wilson | Washington Territory Manager
Following graduation from University of Puget Sound with a degree in Business & Leadership, Derek joined the family business. Since May of 2014 Derek has spent significant time working with our vendors and learning the family business inside and out. He began with 6 months in Minneapolis, MN, as part of Twin City Fan’s Rep Development Program. Here he learned the principles of fans and air movement from industry experts both in class and on the shop floor. In the years since he has had similar experiences with many of our other vendors. Since his start, Derek has proved to be a quick learner and essential member of the David P. Wilson team.
Derek is an accomplished collegiate golfer who has a passion for getting outdoors. He and his wife find great joy exploring far off destinations and spending quality time with friends.
Sheila Mickool | Business Manager
As a retired former Telecommunications CEO and an award-winning journalist with graduate degrees in both Business (Columbia University) and English Literature, Sheila has an eclectic background. She has been a corporate senior executive in multiple companies, ranging in size from high tech start-ups to the Fortune 100. As a writer, she covered a wide range of topics—from healthcare, research, technology and business to lifestyle trends, travel, and education. She is a recipient of several awards in publishing, including the Weintraub National Media Award. Sheila also served as the Executive-in-Residence Professor for Technology and Entrepreneurship at Central Washington University. Her favorite things to do include working (yes, she thinks that’s fun), traveling, hiking, learning new things, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Ron Beyersdorf | Eastern Washington, Idaho & Montana Territory Manager
Ron joined the David P. Wilson Company in June of 1995 after graduating with a business management degree from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) and a year working in the marine industry. Previously based out of the Bellevue office for 22 years, in 2017 Ron and his family moved to the Coeur d’Alene, ID area to better serve our Eastern, WA and Idaho customers.
Ron has extensive experience with ventilation systems for the marine industry, wastewater treatment facilities, welding fume removal/filtration, potato/food processing plants, and complete turnkey project management. In his spare time, Ron enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and two sons, competing in long distance triathlons, marathons, water & snow skiing, fishing, camping, and hiking.
Ryan Hammond | Oregon Territory Manager
Ryan joined David P. Wilson Company in January 2020. A University of Colorado Boulder graduate, Ryan comes to us most recently from the compressed air and gas industry. He has spent the last six years actively selling rotating capital equipment, and later managing a sales team of five. Working with Engineers, Contractors, and end users alike, Ryan prides himself on ensuring the customers’ needs are addressed. He has displayed firsthand his valuable ability to be an advisor/design consultant throughout the life of a project. Prior, Ryan sold Victaulic grooved end piping products into the Commercial/Industrial construction industry throughout the mountain states region.
When out of the office Ryan plays as hard as he works. He and his family have a passion for travel, and enjoy water skiing, mountain biking, windsurfing and snow skiing.
Rob Bartlett | British Columbia Territory Manager
Joining David P. Wilson Company in January 2005, Rob brings over 35 years’ experience in the ventilation industry to our team. He began and spent most of his career representing commercial product lines such as Titus, Hart & Cooley, Nailor Industries, Loren Cook and Penn Ventilator. In 2002 Rob transitioned to industrial air handling products such as Hartzell Fan, Aerovent, Clarage and Twin City Fan. During this time he also gained extensive knowledge as a vibration control, air filtration and silencer representative.
Rob brings to us a very complimentary skill set and wealth of historical knowledge gained from his time in both commercial and industrial sales. Rob and his family call British Columbia, Canada home. If you get to know Rob you will learn there is not conspiracy theory he didn’t like (don’t get him started).
