Celebrating over 120 years in business, Detroit Stoker Company is a leading supplier of stokers and combustion equipment for the production of steam used in heating, industrial processing and electric power generation around the world. By owning our own foundry and lab, we can individually produce materials tailored to your specific installation needs. As the world’s largest manufacturer of industrial stokers, Detroit Stoker continues to provide solutions to a global customer base focused on renewable biomass fuels that provide a carbon neutral solution to produce energy.
These stokers were designed to burn everything from bituminous and lignite coals to biomass such as bar, wood, sugar cane waste, peanut shells, corn cobbs, industrial byproduct wastes, and municipal refuse. These otherwise non-recyclable materials produce insignificant levels of acid gas when compared to fossil fuels and are considered CO2 neutral because the carbon dioxide by product is used in the growth cycle of renewable fuel sources. Around the world these installations have solved serious waste disposal issues while also reducing and sometimes eliminating the need for plant to buy electricity or steam.
